Do Your Christmas Decorations Support Planned Parenthood?

I was just listening to the Rosary Army's latest podcast (check them out if you are not familiar with them They were talking about poinsettias. Yes, the topic of a all too familiar Christmas decoration was front and center of their podcast. Why? Many of these plants, possibly as much as 70% of those sold in the U.S. are grown at the Ecke Ranch in Ensinidas, CA. (Update: This percentage was probably misreported, but the percentage is significant) The Ecke Ranch is a large supporter and has been for years.

Think how many Catholics, and even our Catholic parishes, buy these plants each year to celebrate the birth of Jesus. In celebrating the most important birth in history we may be inadvertently be financially supporting abortion. How ironic, and how diabolical!

If you are buying poinsettias, find out where they came from. You may have to make a few phone calls to get some from a different supplier, but you will know you did the right thing!

I went to Walmart and the grocery store tonight and couldn't resist checking the poinsettias! I was happy to see that in both stores, they were from a different farm. :-)
