On the Loss of Being Gentlemen and Ladies

Msgr Charles Pope writes a great article here on what society has lost as he reflects on a current TV advertisement. I have often said I was born in the wrong era. Ask me what type of person I revere and you are likely to have me point out someone who I can only describe as a "timeless gentleman", if one is to be found. There are a dozen or so people who come to my mind in this category. Most served some time in the military, and that is reflected in their posture and refined manners. They could have come right out of a 1950's movie, yet fit in perfectly in just about any setting today. I look up to them and I am also fascinated by them...
